RUGBY MIXED ABILITY

Mixed Ability rugby is real rugby, played according to official rules, by people with and without disabilities. It is not an adapted sport: it is an inclusive space where everyone participates as equals, according to their abilities, without distinctions.

Because it’s different

In Mixed Ability Rugby, you don’t play “for” people with disabilities, but “with” them. There are no separate categories, just one team. The real challenge is cultural: creating the conditions for everyone to participate.

The role of CROn

We were the first club in Italy to build an entire reality around this model. We participated in the IMART (Mixed Ability Rugby World Cup) tournaments in Bradford and Vitoria, we collaborate with schools, educational services, and federations, and we promote awareness initiatives.

Project and impact

Through rugby, we have created educational, training, rehabilitative, and even theatrical programs. Our approach is replicable and has been recognized internationally.

Inclusive rugby: an educational project

Chivasso Rugby has always combined sports activities with a strong educational commitment. With school projects that have been nationally awarded, we offer rugby as a tool to develop identity, relationships, and self-awareness. For us, training is an opportunity for growth for everyone.
