TEAM SPIRIT

Chivasso Rugby is a unique team in the Italian rugby scene. Different ages, abilities, experiences, and stories come together every week to train, have fun, play, and share. We are a real team—united, close-knit, and welcoming—both on and off the field.

A team without a home, but with a heart

We don’t have our own home yet. As guests of San Mauro Rugby, we train and grow thanks to a network of people, families, volunteers, and coaches who believe in our mission. Our dream? A field that is also an educational center, open to all kinds of diversity. A place that can welcome children, families, schools, and community organizations, to give continuity and strength to a replicable model of social sport.

In the meantime, every space has become home: the minibus, the pizzeria after a match, the park, the school, the stage at a conference. Every place has been transformed into an educational space thanks to our team spirit.

TRAINING

We train twice a week, play friendly matches, take part in national and international tournaments, and travel together. But we are a team even when we make sandwiches, set up the gazebo, visit schools, or share our project.

where and when

  • Monday: 20:45 – 22:00
  • Tuesday: 20:30 – 22:00
  • Campo Rugby San Mauro, Parco Einaudi (TO)

Educators on the field

Our staff is made up of coaches trained by the FIR as well as educators, counselors, and volunteers with experience in social work. We promote growth paths for those who want to become coaches, educators, or federation animators, including among our own athletes.

EVERYONE CAN PLAY

We welcome athletes from 4 to 60 years old, without distinction between able-bodied and people with disabilities. Everyone can participate according to their abilities in a safe, welcoming and educational environment.

Each session is not just about technique: it’s an educational space. We use playful and cooperative methods that help every athlete give their best, both physically and mentally. We work towards a sport that teaches respect, responsibility, and the value of the team.

In rugby, the “third half” is a special moment when, after the match, everyone comes together not just to eat and celebrate, but to truly get to know each other. For us at CROn, it’s an opportunity for connection and inclusion: we laugh, share stories, and introduce ourselves even to those who aren’t on the field.

This is where barriers come down, differences disappear, and only the passion for the game remains. In this shared space, rugby becomes what it truly is: a common language made of respect, friendship, and community.
